At age 36, it’s reasonable to assume that Steph Curry only has a few years of high-level basketball left in the tank. The 2022 NBA Finals MVP has spent the past 15 seasons in the Bay and although he won’t get to take the floor with his backcourt mate, Klay Thompson (now with the Dallas Mavericks) moving forward, Curry made it clear that he plans to finish out his career with the Golden State Warriors.

Being in one place for my own career, and it’s like a broken record, but I know it’s really hard to do that”, Curry said during an interview last week. “I want to be greedy and say we can be relevant and be in the mix and give ourselves a realistic chance to win while I’m still growing these gray hairs and doing high school visits in The Bay for my daughter. It’s crazy. It’s just the nature of where I’m at. But yes, all that to say I love The Bay and The Bay is home. I never want that to change.”

Needless to say, Curry has enjoyed plenty of individual and team success throughout his Illustrious career in Golden State. In addition to being named to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary team, Curry has taken home two MVP awards, reached 10 All-Atar games and won four championships as a member of the Warriors (just to name a few). He’s also regarded as one of the best shooters to ever step foot on an NBA court, as he currently possesses the 12th highest three-point shooting percentage in NBA history (42.5). While we’re unsure if Curry will secure ring #5 before he exits the NBA, there’s no doubt that his recent comments will put Warriors fans at ease going into 2024-25.
